As a Data Engineer at Micron, you will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting big data and cloud data warehouse solutions. Your responsibilities will include delivering data pipelines on cloud platforms such as Snowflake and GCP, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring operational excellence in data management.

The role involves operating in a fast-paced environment while contributing independently to project delivery and guiding the team through technical and operational challenges. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential to coordinate effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project requirements and deliverables related to big data and cloud data warehouse solutions.
• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines on platforms such as Snowflake and GCP.
• Ensure well-designed architecture, data modeling, and minimal technical debt.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable tasks.
• Mentor and coach data engineering team members.
• Manage operational issues, escalations, and resolve partner issues proactively.
• Support monitoring and alerting tools to maintain data system health.
• Communicate effectively across distributed teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in data engineering and advanced analytics.
• Proven experience developing cloud data-centric solutions on GCP, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and SQL development.
• Strong understanding of APIs and data integration.
• Demonstrated ability in data modeling, ETL development, and BI solutions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with comfort in presentations to management and developers.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
